The Fumoi Self Cleaning Litter Box carries the claim of being the #1 selling self cleaning litter box on Amazon , and it does arrive with a range of features designed to appeal to multi-cat households, including app control, safety sensors, and a removable washable liner. However, the real-world user experience paints a noticeably different picture from its marketing.

Reliability issues surface quickly in user accounts. Reviewers describe the unit keeps getting stuck , with wifi seeming to keep disconnecting and the bottom infrared anti-pinch being triggered unexpectedly. More critically, one user found an intentional hole in the drum that sprays litter all over , and the litter tray was leaking urine — fundamental flaws for a product built around hygiene. For some, the unit broken within 8 months .

When problems arise, getting help proves frustrating. Users report that customer support has been useless , and there are serious concerns about the integrity of the product's review record, with users alleging that an accurate review was reported and removed from Amazon . One reviewer even describes being offered $50 for a 5-star review , a practice that calls into question how the product reached its top-seller status.

The trustworthiness of the product's ratings is a recurring and alarming theme. Multiple reviewers allege that all reviews are fabricated and non-5-star reviews are normally deleted , suggesting that the glowing rating visible on the product page may not reflect genuine buyer experiences. Shoppers should weigh this context heavily before purchasing.
